This dress turned out alot nicer then what I expected. I LOVE it now and it looks just as cute without the petticoat.

Top is nice but the bottom/skirt part is way too long I feel and it doesn't fit really with the top. Short and wide skirt part I think would be more appealing...
It just seems awkward as a one piece dress.

Thank you ChicStar for renaming it. I like the full skirt which could be worn for swing dancing.

We tried to be along with the original designs, but some time we need to do some modifications due to material, craft, production and cost issue etc. Hope you can understand it and we could do better with the original designs in the future. I too am dissapointed by how they made your design. They took your design and then changed it to be plainer, and it is stupid that the petticoat is not included. I would have bought the velvet one that tina designed and worked so hard on, but this one is a little plain, i might still buy it for my store, but I REALLY rather have the deisgn you drew tina, i know on that design it was very detailed. CHIC STAR, please make the design more like the one we all voted on! Please. Oh, and this is NOT a swing dress, that makes no sense. it is gothic.

I was not trying to "blast" them. Just asking what happened to the original design plan.
If you look at the original there is a big difference and the customers that wanted the original design made; that would "wear this" or want to sell it were the ones that voted it into acceptance for the original design plan that was described. I was not trying to be disrespectful or blast.
Just stating facts for what may have been a successful selling design. I know I was really looking forward to the original.
I have thanked Chic Star/China Towner many times and always indicate my respect for them and the opportunity they have put forth for novice designers.

I was wondering how this would turn out and I for one am pleased with the final outcome. Would I ever wear this? No. Do I think they did a good job. Yes. Why don't you send an email to the company asking why they didn't create the look you were going for instead of blasting them. I mean you didn't even thank them or commend them for a good EFFORT.

What happened to the original design?
It was suppose to be stretch velvet with red and black lace/tulle trim on the hem. It was suppose to have a collar and buttons on the strap. I am very sad about what was made of my design.
Could you please at least rename it?....
